AVYREN (靈豚遠略) (the “Service”) uses very few cookies and similar technologies. This policy explains what they are for and how you control them.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device to keep basic functions working — the state of the checkout flow, for example.
2. The cookies this service uses
The Service currently has no member accounts, runs no advertising and uses no marketing trackers. The only cookies in use are:
Strictly necessary cookies
- Temporary state for the order and checkout flow (form contents, protection against double submission)
- The basic identifier needed for security and rate limiting
- The anonymous identifier for the free cast report (a random string, no personal data): it keeps you to one cast per question per 24 hours, and shows you the same cast when you return to the page
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the service to run, so they need no prior consent. You can block them in your browser, but you may then be unable to complete an order.
Third-party cookies (payment)
- Stripe: when you reach the payment page, Stripe sets the cookies it needs for fraud prevention and transaction security. They are governed by the Stripe privacy policy.
Not used at present
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics and the like): not used at present. If we adopt them later, we will update this policy and post a notice on the site.
- Marketing and advertising cookies: not used.
3. How you control them
Every major browser lets you view, delete or block cookies (Settings → Privacy). Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break ordering; blocking Stripe cookies may make payment impossible.
4. Retention
- Flow state: expires when the session ends (when you close the browser)
- Anonymous free-cast identifier: 30 days at most
- Stripe cookies: per Stripe policy
5. Updates to this policy
Before we adopt a new tool (site analytics, for example), we will update this policy and post a notice first.
