The company offered a posting to Hong Kong. Torn over whether to go, and worried about never being brought back.
Moving questions, answered in three steps.
Is this city right for you? When is the smoothest time to move? Will the emigration go through? Rent or buy? Avyren gives you more than a direction: the best time to act, and how to prepare.
What people ask
Tap a question to carry it into the form. You can edit it there.
- Is moving to this city a good idea? Will I settle in?
- When is the smoothest time to move house?
- Should I buy this house? Is the location right for me?
- Will my immigration application go through? When is the best time to file?
- Is this overseas posting a good move? What happens once I am there?
- Rent or buy? When is the best time to buy?
- Should I move back home or stay abroad?
- When is the best time to start the renovation?
- Live with family or move out on my own?
- Will leaving this city affect my career? When is the best time to go?
How to ask so the reading is sharp
- Say where you are going from and to, when you expect to move, and whether it is your choice or someone else's arrangement.
- Renting and buying are two separate casts. So are "will it be good there" and "will the application be approved".
- For a posting or emigration that involves other parties, name the company or the people concerned. Da Liu Ren reads the whole situation most clearly that way.
- If you want to know whether you can come back, write in how many years you plan to stay.
How the three methods read this kind of question
A hexagram in 30 seconds shows the direction; the full reading gives the odds and what to do. Good for a first look at the big picture.
Reads where each party stands, how the process unfolds and what the other side is thinking. Good when the situation is tangled and involves more people than you.
Reads how things develop, how the energy rises and falls, and whether the outcome favors you. You can ask about timing too. Good for what happens next.
Three systems cast independently and checked against each other. When all three say go, you can go with confidence.
One example of what a reading tells you.

Da Liu Ren showed the sign of relocation across the three transmissions, with a noble in the final one: going is right, and a career window opens within two years of arriving. Liu Yao showed the self line moving into advancement, but the timing falls in the second half of the year, not now; the return comes three years out, not one.
Go if you can accept staying at least three years. Get the return clause written into the contract rather than relying on a verbal promise. Before you leave, hand over your current relationships and performance record properly, so there is a place for you when you come back.
If the posting is confirmed in the second half of the year and your grade moves within the second year, the script is playing out. If you are asked back within a year, the terms were not negotiated fully enough: renegotiate and add the return clause.
See the direction for free first, then decide whether to go deeper.
